Due to the location of the soccer stadium, energy usage is paramount to ensure efficient and reliant operations, epically for the FIFA Soccer World Cup 2022. The Socomec Multifunction meters were selected to monitor the power usage of a multitude of devices in the soccer stadium. As the Socomec meter has a Modbus RTU network interface, the EZ gateway was selected to connect the 1373 energy meters to the Honeywell BACnet/IP BMS for energy usage visualization and reporting. Once the Socomec data points were available on the BACnet/IP network, configuration and management of these Socomec BACnet objects was easily handled by the BMS team when creating the appropriate dashboards and reports.
